Default help newbie got problems

2006 ezgo pds son driving it stopped at tracks and backed up to wait for.the train started to go stil in reverse flipped to forward want go. Towed it home u can flip tow off and on and it will go in reverse flip to forward no go flip back to reverse no go flip tow switch on off go in revese no foward. Started looking white wire from controller to motor had laid against solenoid and had burnt a spot on thw wire. Figured i would cut the bad spot out and splice just to see if that is it still does the same thing. Can someone please tell me what to check. I have good voltage at the battery and i checked all the post on the solenoid and i have good voltage. Is my controller bad? What do i need to check.now? Why will it go in reverse after the tow flip but not in forward then once u try that u have to flip the tow again to.do reverse. Thanks for any help u can giveo

Could you write that out in sentences and paragraphs. The switching got me dizzy.

We have a 2007 but have not memorized the manuals. Have you looked at the wiring diagrams and use the trouble shooting flow chart in the repair manual?

Sorry.typed it on my phone. You mean no one has an opinion on what is wrong with this cart. Controller, solenoid does the f/r switch go out on pds carts. I cant believe no one has an opinion on this. I figure its pretty simple just dont know enough yet

The run tow is not gonna effect the Solenoid so that (Solenoid) should be ok.
You said a wire got melted, did it ground out? Did you fix it?
Do you have a speed chip? Have you put it in diagnostic mode to see how many beeps you get. Those things should help indentify if the controller is responding.
At this stage I would lean towards the gear switch or the controller since you said it had good voltage, BTW what was your reading when you checked them?

I fixed the wire still did not work. Im assuming the controller. I have no reverse beep i guess the guy before me unhooked it so no dianogstic beeps.

Try re-writing the issue. It is very difficult to understand your original post

Burnt a small white wire from motor to controller splied the wire and cart still will not go just wondered if it was the motor controller or solenoid. Im sorry for any confusion as im typing on my phone and i know the punctuation is not real good
