ddh2433, did you get this figured out yet? I have been wanting to do something similar. Is it at all possible to move it to the dash?

My own bright idea is to re-arrange the batteries to the sides and rear. Put the controller and FNR in the center up front, and use a slapstick-style cable shifter mounted in a "floating" console between the cupholders and front of the underseat. I think it would be a pretty awesome mod!

You guys might want to check out these threads whereby the discussion involves reversing contactors.....That would simplify your life considerably...
There were a few other threads also on this topic that I can't find now...

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...er-switch.html

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ose-these.html

You could use a switch (like a PDS cart) or still do the Stick thing for the cool factor but have the liberty to put it where you want it without too much linkage/heavy wiring involved.....

I have done this mod to 2 of my E-Z-GO's and love it. It's so much nicer just flipping a switch than it is messing with the F/R handle. No contacts either to worry about. Well the stud kind anyway. Well worth the effort.

I am doing this now, My main reasons are too much heat build up on the studs and wanting to put two extra batteries under the seat. I have rearranged my controller, cylinoid and am waiting for my F/R contactor from Scottyb. It is going to be a great set up and should be bulletproof. I am also replacing all 8 batteries wit T-125 and going from 4g cables to 2g to match my 500 amp alltrax and 8.5 high torque motor. Can't wait.
