Is this wired correctly?
Hi, I acquired a golf cart that had nothing wired up, pieces all over the place.
I looked at almost every wiring diagram available, and each of them were different in some way or another, and some had parts that I didn't have, so I picked one closest to what I had to work with, and wired it up. It's an EZGO TXT I think the Serial number is 79M8 18848 but it's so scratched, I'm not sure if I'm missing something in the middle. It didn't come with a charger, so I charged the batteries with a 12 volt charger, 2 at a time, but when I turn it on, I get absolutely nothing. Here is a diagram I drew that shows exactly how I wired it up. Could someone PLEASE tell me if the main parts are wired up correctly? https://sites.google.com/site/chillsgolfcart/ Thanks so much! |

Re: Is this wired correctly?
Isn't that the serial number? I listed it twice: 79M8 188486
It is really scratched, so there might be something where the spaces are, but I think that's it. Does that look like a valid serial number? Its on a black plate under the dash on the passenger side. I the manu. number different? If so, where is it located? |

Re: Is this wired correctly?
The Tag on your Marathon Electric will have 2 numbers One long serial # and other shorter manufacture code the last 2 digits of the man. code are the yr the cart was made. This would help determine which diagram fits your cart.

Re: Is this wired correctly?
I have one long serial number on the metal place under the passenger side of the dash. Where is the other number?
I thought that maybe the 79 in the beginning of the serial number was the year: 1979. I added a picture of the plate tothe page: https://sites.google.com/site/chillsgolfcart/ Last edited by coralyn; 03-08-2011 at 11:46 AM.. Reason: Added picture to web to include |
