Default Looking a buying a '07 PDS cart

This is my first post and new to golf carts. Please bare with me. I'm looking to buy a 2007 PDS cart with brand new T-125 Trojan batteries. Comes with a hill chip and another chip. Wanting to put a 6" lift with 22x11x8 wheels and tires. Going to be used as a hunting cart mainly with a little of neighborhood use. Is the PDS a good cart for this application? I read on here something about the PDS cart could overheat if driven slow, is this a problem? Thanks and sorry for the elementary questions, just trying to learn a little

u read right, pds carts will over the controller of driven slow. Lifted with bigger tire will destroy the controller sooner or later anyway. PDS carts are not bad if equipt properly. Get urself a 400 amp alltrax controller, HD solenoid, 4 gauge wires and call it a day.

PDS cart don't like slow riding. They are great carts though. My 04 is on the 04 stock controller and I run 17" wheels on it. I only use it here at the beach though. The 300 amp controller has been a good one.

I think I'm going to get it and see how it turns out. I won't really be going slow, just riding to and from the deer stand, and the occasional ride around the neighborhood. It's got brand new batteries so I think for $2000 it's not a bad deal. It's a Las Vegas cart and looks to be in great shape. I'll Post up some pics when if I get it next week.

Good luck with the cart they are great but if you are wanting to lift you really need to look at upgrading ur controler and wires you will gain more torque and top speed is the cart 36volt or 48

I love my 07 PDS. It's upgrading in several ways though. It just seems to happen whether you plan for it or not.

It's a 36 volt cart with T-125 Trojans and upgraded 4 gauge wires.

Thats not a bad deal. For that price you can play with it. I sell 07 series carts all day long for 2k here. Good find. Them batts would set you back 800 or so.

Welcome and congrats on finding a great buy! My cart is an 06 PDS. I bought it lifted with 22 12 10.5 tires and the stock controller lasted a few months before it started to overheat regularly. I ride flat slightly sandy trails and it would shut down routinely.
I upgraded to an Alltrax 500 amp controller, HD solenoid, and 2 gauge wire and could not be happier- total investment of $700 and a little time & effort.
Buy it- you'll enjoy it.
