Older EZGO
Greetings, Newbie here. I just picked up and older EZGO for a few
hundred. Has all newer batteries and runs pretty decent. Has corrosion in the battery trays which does need repaired. Anyway, here is what I think is the date code, D8210. I am guessing 1982 build. Can anyone confirm? It has an almost new charger too. Does anyone supply the battery trays, or should I just have some built out of angle. Thanks for any replies! Capn' |

Re: Older EZGO
That number can't be right...it translates to October 82, 2010. LOL!...anyways...yes, you will have to build your own trays.

Welcome to the wild, i'm also new around here, but I can tell you it's a great group of guys (girls too?). Have fun and keep the pics a comming. (BTW, I'm a gas guy and still learning myself, hence the reason I have no useful advise to dispense).

Re: Older EZGO
Thanks for the replies. Looks like a fun site for sure! I found a build date decoder online and it says Oct 82, 2010. That is funny! I have looked at this tag 10 times at least and the digits are clear as can be. They are
infact D8210-255179. My best guess is that the 82 and the 10 are transposed. I plug that in and I get Oct 10 of 1982. That makes sense to me. The tag clearly a mistake. I'll get a closeup of it and post it soon. One thing I need for sure are the plastic covers that go over the backs of the seat backs. Does anyone know if they are available? |

Re: Older EZGO
See if you can sell it on eBay for a ton of cash, like when a coin has a mistake and people pay all sorts of dough for it.!!

Re: Older EZGO
Does it have a controller or coils? If it's a controller it's 1989 or newer. If it's coils it's before 1988. 1982 it should be coils.

It's got the coils in it. Thanks for the replies everyone! It is all apart now and it is going in for new battery trays and paint this week! I am amazed what all I was able to find on the web for this thing!
