Terminology Help
Hello, I have some very very basic questions that I need help with. I am very new (obviously) to the hobby and am trying to get my terminology correct. I was wondering if someone could help me with what PDS and DCS mean. I am looking through wiring diagrams on the Sticky's as well. Very helpful information, but I don't understand the abbreviations. I am hoping to find a good used electric EZGO cart in the near future and I am trying to gain some knowledge before purchasing.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND GREAT SITE !!!!!! |

What are you planning on using the cart for? This has a great deal to do with your choices.

Re: Terminology Help
Thanks for not beating me up ! I appreciate the kindness ! Sorry again to start a new thread on this, I can't believe I did that !!!! I found a ton of great stuff in the archives and apologize again for the clutter !!
My wife and I are looking for a cart to drive around our neighborhood. No lifts or off road use really. I would like the option to easily upgrade for speed if possible. I don't know if I would like the cart to engine brake down hill (DCS I think). THANKS FOR THE HELP !!!! |

Re: Terminology Help
Steer clear of the DCS carts in general they are a failed system, produced for a few years only.
What you want is a PDS cart. They are quickly recognized by the toggle switch F&R switch in the dash. You can change the mode chips for speeds up to 19mph on the flats or change the controller for speeds up to 24mph. |
