97 E Z Go won't run
My Dad has a 97 DCS cart, he raised it up with a chain hoist to replace brakes
while raising it up the chain hoist broke and it fell about 1 to 1.5 feet. After chainging the brakes the cart will not run, the solenoid will not pull in. Thinking it was the controller he purchased another and replaced it. Still no solenoid. I found this site and using the manuals provided (thanks) I started to troubleshoot using the "Repair and Service manual" on page E-8 says if I dont have battery voltage on red wire (pin 9) that the red wire between "Run-Tow/Maintenance switch and ten pin connector is faulty. Looking at the wiring diagrams the red wire doesn't go from the switch to the controller it goes to the Forward/Reverse switch first then to the controller on the orn/red wire. Checking I have continuity on this wire but still no voltage. Any suggestions I am at the end of my rope. Thanks |

Re: 97 E Z Go won't run
Pin 9 should have 36v on it.
The flow of current to pin 9 in order is from/through: 1) reed switch 2) run tow switch 3) F-R switch |

Re: 97 E Z Go won't run
Check the wire harness under the cart from the peddle box to the controller & solenoid, you might have a broken wire?
If no check the power at the micro switches? ANY? |
