Default volt meters

after riding around a bit, the soc gauge dropped one bar. now i normaly recharge the batts when this happens, but i have this cool datel meter and it is showing 51.7. was51.9. do i need to recharge?. not a prob. just curious.

When the meter starts blinking at you down to like 2 or 3 bars is when you recharge on most of them.

thanks guys. we never go far, so it takes about three trips to the lake to drop 3 bars. the datel is much better. have it wired to stay on all the time, which neat to check just walking by.

gorno, i have that chart on my tool chest for reference.

You really don't have to recharge until your voltmeter reads 50.5v at rest.
Batteries will not sulfate unless they have less than 90% charge.
