Default controller question....

While tearing down my rustbucket I got a good look at my controller . It looks brand new . I was wondering if this controller is sufficient to run the high speed motor that is on the cart with my oversized tires .....or should I look into a different one?

It seems to work fine ....cart runs strong .

Thanks

Unless your expectations are really low, the Stock Controller won't cut it for big tires.

ok...so this is a stock controller .

So when you say "wont cut it"...is it going to crap out on me eventually? Or is it just not going to give me the performance I'm looking for?

Probably yes to both questions. The rear seat weighs like another passenger. so all loaded up it would be 2Xs what the original load calculations were made for.
Having said that, the series controller itself may last quite some time ... especially on flat pavement.

It just won't have much poop. Kinda like your Gramma's Rambler.

At a minimum, you should upgrade to a good set of 4 gauge cables. You'll have to do that anyway, no matter what modifications follow...
