Re: tourqe monster needs speed
There's no real cheap way to get speed out of a series cart.
What mods are done to it? Motor? Controller? Lift? Tires? Gears? How fast does it go now and how fast do you want it to go? |

Re: tourqe monster needs speed
I don't want you to take this wrong but what happen to the guy you found that knew carts inside and out? What did he do about the controller? Your other post said he could get your controller rebuilt for $150.00. I'm just wondering what he said and offered to do.
As far as the cart goes about the only thing is either a motor & controller upgrade or a rear gear change. Either one and the torque is going to suffer some. What do you want this cart to do? Street use with minimum hills or off roading? The use of the cart will help detirmine the choices you have. |

Re: tourqe monster needs speed
Well the guy does know his carts... but when I went to go get a control rebuild the price went from 150 to 200 dollars and a 3 week wait time and another cart shop had 1 rebuilt ready to go that day for 225 so I went that route...... and I'm not friends with him he just owns a shop....andy that doesn't mean i still don't want the buggies gone wild input....lol

Re: tourqe monster needs speed
If you have tons of torque and a 10 inch lift all you need are great big tires to go faster... you said you still had 18s.
However, the rebuilt control is going to be a limiting factor. sell it and get a 400 amp job and tall tires. |

Re: tourqe monster needs speed
The controller size ( amperage rating ) limits how much power can be sent to motor at any one time.
Amperage equal Torque. You torque to turn big tires. Good Luck |
