Default high speed gears with emp 2 speed, advice please

Ok, a little dissapointed with my LR5.4 upgrade and 2 speed set on high on my series ezgo(stock controller). With 20 psi, 22 in tires, good, fully charged batteries I'm only acheiving 21 mph... However, great torque. I'm considering going 8:1 or 6:1 gears. Thoughts? I don't really climb hills but carry 4 people sometimes. If I went to a 6:1 or 8:1, what could I expect top speed? I will upgrade the controller later if I feel I lost too much torque.
Thanks in advance

I think the 6:1 might be too great of a loss of torque for you, you would probably be happiest with the 8:1 gear set.

To be honest I have never used the EMP motor... so I couldn't tell you what to expect speed wise. My suggestion is based on the previous experience using the 6:1 gear set and the dramatic loss of torque when doing so. I imagine someone will come along shortly that can lend some advise as to expected top end speed though.
