Question What did I burn up?

I messed up and left the on board charger plugged in and stepped on the pedal and heard a spark somewhere. Now nothing happens. I see the on board charger still works, but the light is not coming on the controller. It did not blow the fuse that is between the battery & hot wire. But it blew something as I got nothing now. How can I check to see if I blew the controller or hopefully not the motor. The on board charger had not been going all the way to the ready mode. Could be something completely different there, just thought I would add that in.

You mention a light on the controller. Why not tell us what controller and solenoid you are using and tell us what voltage your system is.

My bet right now is you fried the micro switch in the peddle box. Check to see if you are getting power to the F&R micro switches.

One thing that was weird was I could not get a voltage reading when checking the two ends of the battery cables. When I dis-connected the white wire that goes to the charge port I suddenly had 36+ volts. I am going to have to ask how to hook up the volt meter to where to check those micro switches. I tried to jump a wire from the hot battery post to a pos point on the solenoid but did not manage to get the controller to come on. That is what the Alltrax guy had me do last time. (With the wheels off the ground ) and putting pressure on the pedal. but got nothing.

Take up the floor mat and take the box cover off on the drivers side. There is a micro switch inside see if it is burnt up. Take the wires loose and jump them together and see if it runs. Jack it up before doing it though.

When you run an on-board charger, what do you do about the reed switch? Is the original reed switch still operational or is it bypassed?

Hey Scotty, which wires do I connect the red & Green coming off the switch or the black & white wire going to that other thing?
