what is the average stretch for a marathon cart. i have several say 30 inches. or would 48 be too much. its an electric cart.

I don't know. But I would say brake cable length would be the limiting factor.

I can't say about EZGO but my Yamaha G-20 Limo is 8' or 96 inches center of hub to center of hub. Thats 2 seats forward. Hope this helps, LURCH!!!!!!

lol... ok I'll chime in... but I don't know how much it will help you.

When I stretched my Yamaha G1 I figured that I would need to add at minimum 28 inches to the frame... however, that would lead to knees rubbing on back seats... I chose 32 inches for nice round number and love it... the rear seats have plenty of room. 30 inches would have worked just as well. From hub to hub I'm at about 8 feet. I'm not at home and won't be for the month so I can't measure. If you want to look at the cart and frame there are a few pics here

I didn't join the forum until after I stretched the frame so there are no pics sorry...

I did have to extend the brake and throttle linkage, but that was as simple as adding a few couplers and some all-thread for me.

I don't know what you will have to do to extend your throttle and brake on an EZGO, but before you stretch make sure you are prepared.

you might also have to lengthen your wire harness so it might be a good time to inspect it and splice it or just rewire your entire cart depending on its age.

My stretches are 33", wheel base is 99". This is on TXT's, never stretched a marathon though, lots of Yamaha's in the early 80's. I guess depends on what kind of center pod you are going with, I use a stock TXT seat assy with my own pods.

hey stretchman do you sell yourfront seat pods? if so how much? im a newbie too but race car fab skilled.just thinking of streching one too thanks again

I know this is an old thread but did you make your front seat pod out of fiberglass or ?

Also if you have any info on the stretch process that would be great!

Stretchman- Looks like you made you driver's seat pod is made from a TXT rear body section. I might do this too rather than buying a pod. Do you have any close up views of it and also one from the rear? I was thinking of cutting one off and building a frame from square tubing to support it and then box the rear wiht diamond plate.

I'd like to see some more photos of yours if you have any and wouldnt mind.

We just picked up a Club-Car Villager-8(3-forward,1 rear-facing seat).Its' wheel-base is 131.5"!!!Its' the same wheelbase as my 8'-bed,regular-cab pickup!
