Need Batteries
The current batteries in my '96 TXT (36 volt) are needing replacement. What's the best bang for a buck in six 6 volts?
I'm in Northeast Florida. Thanks KIX |

Re: Need Batteries
I found a guy in Lakeland that delivered and installed a new set of 6v powertron batteries for $495 but that was a year ago , I think batteries went up alittle since then though.

Re: Need Batteries
I bought a set of 6 8volt US battery. They are the one comparable to the Trojans mid grade for $524.00 Price will vary from region to region. Make sure you buy the batteries for what you want to do. IE: don't but 6 volts then decide 2 months later you want to upgrade to a 48 volt cart. Then you have to re-sell and re-buy batteries. Whatever you buy take care of them and charge them correctly to make them last for several years.

Re: Need Batteries
Trojan (T105,T125,T145), Interstate (XHD) , Crown All considered Top of the line 5-7 years if properly maintained
Trojan (T605) , Interstate (RD) US Battery Good mid range battery 4-5 years if properly maintained Trojan Pacer, Powertron (made by Trojan) Decent low end battery 3-4 years if properly maintained Deka, Powervolt, Energizer, Duracell , E-3600, Autocraft, Napa...... bottom of the barrel batteries that are not worth the $$ they charge for them. You would be the exception if you got anything over 3 years and in most cases, you are lucky to get 2 years. The preceding statements are a matter of personal opinion, Everyone is entitled to an opinion so don't flame me for mine..... |

The problem is, here in Florida, I have found that the Crown batteries are actually more expensive than the Trojan batteries..... |

Re: Need Batteries
I know I just had to rub it in to you.....
I wish Crown was more affordable here in Florida, but for some reason they seem to be one of the most expensive I have found. |
