Default Suggestions for controller for DCS??

Need to replace a blown speed controller on my elec dcs ezgo. I think it's a 1206sx. There are 9 pins, 2 med pins for black & white wires, plus 3 big pins.

The cart is lifted, stock tires now, with tire replacement sometime in the future. I'm wondering whether to replace with the same controller or some other, possibly more durable option?

Hoping to find something reasonable as $$ are an issue right now but really want to use this cart at Fort Wilderness as opposed to my PDS one. I found a guy localling with a reman controller for $200 but am concerned that there's no way to tell if it's good until after the sale and there's no warranty.

Would appreciate any suggestions/opinions about which model controllers might work or where to find one semi-reasonably. TIA

Probably Scotty from Carts Unlimited would be able to give you the best deal with great service.

Where in Florida are you located?

I second the 400 recommendation... more torque, speed, and durability! Alltrax controls on sale with free shipping right now!

We're in Maryland.

Is Carts Unlimited online? Do I just look up alltrax 400 or are there different model numbers for it?

I'd like to buy a back seat before our trip to wdw too but that may have to be put on the back burner depending upon how much the speed controller ends up costing us...

EDITED TO ADD - duhhh... sorry. Nevermind, I found the site. Thanks.

maybe not dedication to carting but dedication... or maybe that should be anticipation... to looping in disney's fort wilderness campground. DW and the DDs camped there and swear camping & looping in the cart at the campground was even better than staying concierge in the disney hotel we normally go to.

I haven't camped at the fort yet - just got an rv that we could handle this year. I'm disabled so couldn't tent it when they went - but we'll take our rv down in Aug and I'll get to see it for myself. It's a toy hauler, so no biggie for us to take a cart - and definitely cheaper than wdw's $60+ a day rental fees over 2 weeks.

DW is active on the fortfiends.net camping forum. It seems like most everyone there agrees the carts are just as fun as the parks. Here I just use it to take DD to/from the bus stop in good weather.
