Help a newb w/ lift kit....
Ok, so I bought the EZGO 4" economy lift kit.. I didn't want the 5" or 6" kits, as they are too high for my taste. Well the rear went fine with no issues. The front, well that's a different story.
A little history of my cart, it is a '97 Ezgo Txt, with everything stock. As I was attempting to install the front, I removed the bottom shock mount, removed the bolts that hold the leaf spring to the axle, as per the instructions. I was not able to unhook the tie rod ends, but that's another story for right now. When I looked at the plate and the new box, they don't match... The instructions are pretty crappy, so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what. I'm also wondering if the front end of my cart is different, as it is completely new. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Attached are pictures of my front end and the new pieces. |

So the plate you go does not match the plates you got? Is that the issue? There were 2 different axles used. Looks like you have the narrow one.

That sounds about right. Is there a way to tell the difference between the narrow and non-narrow? And what are my options now?
