Default just put new battery's in

I just put in new 6v batterys in my 2006 ezgo electric golf cart today and the first thing that I noticed was that the volt meter turned on even the key is in the off position. Then I plugged the charger in and it just flashes red. Any ideas? I looked over the wiring multiple times and it looks good.

Is it a PDS cart with the run/tow switch?

Yeah it is. I actually found a wire that I didn't not have put on. so the cart is operating like normal but when I plugged in the charger it just flashed 2 red lights.

I think it will reset when the charge cycle hits a high voltage mark... re charge and see.

I drove it for a good hour today and tried putting it back on the charger but their was still two red lights flashing every few seconds. I saw this in another thread but when I check my voltage is is around 37.8.

TWO RED FLASHES: Two flashes, a pause and
then again two flashes and a pause - Battery Voltage
Fault: Battery pack is less than 36.0 Volts or
more than 67.2 Volts. Battery pack is too discharged
or over charged for the charger to work.

Seems like my voltage is at a level where that charger should work.

Not sure what you mean by this? how/when will the charge cycle hit a high voltage mark? Should I drive it more and then try recharging or charge the battery's with a car charger? Or are you recommending to put the golf cart charger back on for a longer period of time?

The charger was working fine on my old battery's until I just changed them out. I when form trojen t-105 to nappa battery's.

What is the best way to charge my chart with an car charger? Can I put the positive and negative where the current charges wires are hooked up to? Will this charge all of the battery's?

Simply charge the cart with the golf cart charger. The bar meter should reset when the charger is finished (let it run until it shuts off by itself) If it fails to reset, disconnect the meter momentarily and reconnect it after a full charge. The charger will shut off after a full charge. New batteries need a full charge before use.

I hope this helps

I'm sorry I think you are referring to the voltage meter on the cart but I am talking about the the two red blinking lights on the charger. I disconnected the meter but the charger is still flashing two red lights.

Are you sure they are 6 volt not 8 volt batteries?
