Default new to the cart world

Hi, I have a 1988 ez-go workhorse that was running great. Then nothing, i checked the motor and it still spines. When i checked the motor i found that i was getting power to all four cables, does this sound like a speed controller problem?

have you tried jumping the solenoid to see if it went bad.......you always start with the basics, 1st grab and tug each cable to make sure they are tight and you clean all battery terminals and cable ends......that charge batteries and take voltage reading from each one and than pack voltage.....check water and add distilled water only if needed and only fill to 1/4 inch above lead plates...............load test batteries and if needed check each battery cell with a hydrometer..............are you sure its an 88 or might it be a 98? i don,t think E-Z go used a controller way back than but anyways start with basics and work from there as there is a better chance its something other than controller if cart has one...........................
