2001.5 and later ? Or 01.5 and earlier ?

Can't find the explanation for my number
J301
I entered the number on ezgo website and it only give me the year,but when buying parts they want to know 01.5 later or older
I'm thinking the J is for the 10th month of 01 ,any advice would be great.

Locate your steering box.... mounted on the body = early ... mounted on the front axle = late

Any 2001 made after January of 2001 will have a G,H,I,J,K,L as the first letter of the manufacturers code and will be considered a 2001.5 and UP model TXT
