'96 EZGO Heat Sink / Controller Mount

I was dismantling my chassis a couple of days ago in preparation for painting. When I got to the point of needing to remove the speed controller, I decided it would be best to just remove the entire heat sink by removing the 4 1/4-20 bolts that thread directly into the heat sink from underneath the chassis. Problem is... the bolts were rusted terribly and the heads snapped off of all 4. Drilling out these bolts is proving to be very difficult. So I'm thinking buying a new heat sink is the safest option.

Here is my dillema: The only heat sink I can find that looks like the one that comes stock with the '96 EZGO is item 73471G01, but the EZGO website says it is used on '97 - current TXT models.

Anyone know if this will work for a '96 too???

It's the same heatsink, not sure why they list it as for 97 and newer since the Medalist came out in 94...... kinda weird.

Derek, is your cart lifted? If not, what tire size is that and do they rub?

It is lifted. Those are 22" tires.
