Need tow advice quick
http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too..._559062_559062
This is a little 4x6 wagon I found at Northern Tool. Assembled it will be about 300 lbs. add about 200 lbs of kids and 50 lbs of hay you are looking at around 600lbs Will my stock 08 TXT pull this around the neighborhood on paved streets? I know I asked this question before and got alot of answers but most were regarding modded carts. My cart is stock and will stay that way for the most part. I am thinking that there will be zero problems since (as someone pointed out) the stock EZ-GO is designed to pull three of its own with the tow bar system and the carts weight around 1K I am just wanting to make sure before I push buy |

Re: Need tow advice quick
Quick Answer: I would say yes, or should I say...I would do it. Should not be a problem with a series TXT, I wouldn't try that with my PDS.

Re: Need tow advice quick
The PDS cart in its design doesn't have the same torque as the Series carts. If you do the right mods and upgrade the motor and controller then you could do it as long as you stayed with a low profile tire like stock.
At the race track the Tow carts are all Series carts. They use them to pull the car back from the end of the track so it is cooling down before its next pass. |

OK I am starting to figure this out.......I think. Only bad thing is, now I want to order the upgrades right away and I need to take it slow. Oh well. I guess I lucked up and bought the right cart by accident. I was looking at PDS cause I thought it would be best for towing. Not because I read that, but just because I miss-understood.

Re: Need tow advice quick
UPDATE:
well the wagon / cart came in and I put it together. Took about 2 hrs to do it with the help of my 9yr old son and 5 yr old daughter. Hooked it up and ran it around the neighborhood twice. The outside perimiter of the neighborhood is just at two miles. I went around twice and did a few extra loops into courts along the way! My TXT never flenched. I had the lights on (don't know if that even makes a difference) and they never flickered or dimmed either. The cart had plenty of pull up the minor hills and even the one big hill in the loop. OVERALL I am pleased with the wagon. It weighs in at about 225lbs but my 5yr old daughter can pick up the tounge and pull it all over the driveway. I might have to get a second wagon and pull two in our Mardi Gras parade |
