Default Re: Building a new battery rack.

Yesterday I installed the rack saver and a newer (11/10) set of batteries in this 2004 TXT. Who'd a thunk it, but since the rack saver is about an inch or so higher than the metal rack, the battery securing bolts are about that much too short. I couldn't find a good bolt stretcher so I called the local dealer and it turns out I was the first customer that had gotten this part. It's not an EZGO part, it's some aftermarket part they got. They hadn't figured on this and I was the first to tell him about it. He checked the "J bolt" length on a Club Car part and said it was about 2" longer. I imagine I'll just get a pair of those bolts and make them fit.
It still seems like it will be a worthwhile upgrade. Just figure on getting some longer bolts.
