Default Cut wire

I am trying to get my back up beep going again. Looked under the front driver's side and saw this:

It's a 97 EZ GO TXT. Am I on the right track?

Nope. There is no factory wiring like that in a '97 TXT. That looks like a chunk of two conductor extension cord from the sixties. Perhaps someone used it for a previous headlight circuit. Or, the cable was run over by the cart and a chunk of it is still attached to it.

Is your cart a Series cart or a DCS cart?

Thanks Gornoman, I think it is the Series from the guide posted here. I will pull that wire out and and continue to investigate my cart.

judging from the pic, those wires went to a brake light switch.

The reverse buzzer on your cart should be located on the F&R assembly just above the cam....

simple wiring to it. Red wire from the micro on the passenger side of the assy, black wire from the B- on the controller.

The only thing I see going from the B- is to the Solenoid. See if pics help.
(I will get everything cleaned up and cables replaced. The battery rack gets painted when my seat covers come)

at the bottom of the first pic, there is a red wire and a black wire, those are the wires for the reverse buzzer. It looks like your buzzer has been removed.

BTW, for future reference, that is a freedom model cart..... It makes a difference because the freedom model carts came from the factory with larger controllers than a standard TXT.

Thank you for the info. I guess I will look for a replacement buzzer. Shouldn't be too hard, reading on here a lot of people want them gone.
