Towing a '96 Series Cart
Just wondering if there is anything specific involved in towing a '96 Series Cart. I read about the tow switches on other models and the possibility of motor damage. Just want to be prepared in case.......never know when I may have to tow the wife home with the lawn mower...lol

Re: Towing a '96 Series Cart
No worries towing with the lawn mower.
But with anything else do not exceed the normal top speed of the golf cart... ie: 15 mph as over revving the motor will cause damage. |

Thanks....searched and found no firm answers. Yes, anything outside the local area gets a trailer under the cart for sure.

Re: Towing a '96 Series Cart
more likely that if you maintain the cart and batteries in it, you will have to tow the mower home with the cart... and the boat, and the truck, and the motor home..... lmao

Re: Towing a '96 Series Cart
The solution is to stop driving the lawnmower to the liquor store

Re: Towing a '96 Series Cart
Leave it to an old "Blue Suiter" to know the exact distance to the nearest liquor store.
FWIW Department: The carts with the Run/Tow use regen braking to limit their speed to 2MPH when the throttle is not depressed. If you tow them in the "Run" mode, they are hard to tow and a lot of heat is generated in the Motor, Controller and Batteries. |
