90's ezgo marathon got went and died ?

I fixed up an old ezgo marathon a while ago and drove it around for a while.
One day i parked it on my grass and the sprinklers went on. when i came out to move the cart it didnt move at all. I put it in the garage, let it dry off for a day or two and tried it again. it moved a few inches and then nothing, the motor just barley would move. It felt like dead batteries so i charged them overnight but the next morning it wouldnt move at all. i tested the batteries and 5 tested at 6 volts but one tested at only 1.6 volts. upon further inspection that battery had a crack in the bottom and had leaked out its acid. i put the cart in the shed and forgot about it pretty much as i know nothing about electronics. I want it back though! would that one battery having such low voltage make the cart not be able to move at all? and could it getting wet have killed something else on the cart? is there anything i should test before i possibly waste money buying new batteries? Thanks for the help!

yes, one bad battery can make a cart not go.
If it was mine I would try putting one used battery into the bunch,
