That clicking sound
I have a 97 Ezgo electric that has died. With the batteries fully charges all I get is a clicking sound. I thought it was the soleniod so I replaced that and still the dreaded click. Any thoughts, could it be the speed controller. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: That clicking sound
It could be as simple as loose battery cables or any of the heavy wires or as bad as a controler or motor.
Check first things first. Tug on the cables to make sure they are tight. If not, make'em tight. Also, while depressing the accelerator and key on, wiggle the F-N-R handle and see if it jerks or tries to go. Try in reverse too. Is your reverse buzzer coming on when in reverse? Did this happen all of a sudden without working on the cart? |

Re: That clicking sound
Confirm you have good batteries. Just because they take a charge does not mean they are going to carry a load. After that confirm that every wire and cable is not damaged or burnt and that every connection is clean and tight. This is always the fist thing you should check. After confirming all of this then you start looking at other things. If you heard a clicking to begin with it could have been the sound of a good solenoid clicking on. Maybe your controller is bad. What kind of system do you have. Where is the Fwd/Rev assembly.
