Re-powering a 1992 EZGO Marathon
Hi guys,
New here! Just inherited a 1992 EZGO from the family. Camo'd the baby blue, added lights and need to know what I'm looking at cost wise to add some more power. Maybe convert to a 48 volt. Not sure. Read here a kit would be best but not sure of the cost and if I bought it piece by piece where would I start. Thanks for any help. Rockett |

Re: Re-powering a 1992 EZGO Marathon
I've got a '92 also. As I understand it they made resistor coil and electronic controller carts at that time. Which is yours? Also as I understand it if it is coils then all you have to do is change your battery pack to 48 volts, upgrade your cables to 4Gauge minimum, upgrade your FNR switch and your solenoid and you are ready to go. If it's electronic and you just have to have 48 volts you will need to spring for a new controller, solenoid, cables and you would be well advised to upgrade the FNR switch also. If I missed anything someone else will finish up for me, I'm new to this.
