Lift Kit

I am working on a 1994 Ezgo marathon and I am looking for 5 inch lift blocks for the rear. I've looked at site sponsors web sites and don't seam to be able to find them. Does any one know where I can get a pair of 5 inch blocks? Thanks for any help.

I don't think you'll find 5" blocks for the Marathon anywhere. I have a 93 & am a bit disappointed with the amount of stuff out there for it. You may have to fab up your own lift blocks for it somehow.

So is your cart running these days? Hows the sparky push those 25s around?

Well I let it sit for so long that my batteries were totally dead. I put the long travel front end on and never ran it. Now I'm trying to get going on it again and I want to get the back up level with the front. I have 3 inch blocks on it now and with a long level laid front to back it looks like it needs 2 more inches.

So to answer your question I don't know how its going to push the 25's. I got a set of used batteries to try it but 2 of them don't seam to be taking a charge so I haven't run it yet. I'm trying to get fab work done and then go after the electronics. I agree with you about the blocks. I'm already working on fabricating a pair.

Yea, I have a gas Marathon with 20" tires. It did 22+ mph for a year or two till we trashed the rear diff.
So I picked up a 99 TXT with a 24 hp Honda & 25" tires & a Terra Toys IFS on it (got tired of dickin around with the Marathon). It'll hit speeds well over 30 mph.
I think your going to have to do some pretty in depth work on the batteries & electronics to get the cart to roll those wheels around at a reasonable pace.

Wish I had some other guys around here that were into these things. Would be fun to collaborate a little on the various projects. I get in over my head & I'm screwed.

You and me both. My wife walks out while I'm working on my cart and asks "What are you doing?" and I answer with "I have no idea". Then I do things 2 and 3 times until I break something and then figure it out.

I am thinking about going to 48 volt. this is why I haven't spent the money on new batteries yet. I don't want to buy a 36 volt pack and then decide to go 48. I would like to find a gas one.

Luckily there are a couple of guys here who have already done the 48v upgrade to a Marathon. So you should be able to dig for the answers.

I have a neighbor who has a sparky Marathon & did some upgrades, ie; basic block lift kit, new batteries, 2 speed EMP motor, and some of the electronics. I don't know all the details but he has gotten the thing goin like 19 or 20 mph with 22s on it. Pretty torquey gettin there too.
