Angry Help with my cart please

My cart has suddenly decided to have issues not for sure whats wrong with it now. Its a ez-go PDS. Not for sure what year it is but the tag says C301 I had thought the person I baught it from said it was a 2003. It won't go forward or reverse. The reverse buzzer works I checked batteries they read 38.5 volts. When you mash the pedal it goes click-click---click-click---click-click and then does nothing else. I'm not really sure what to test or check next the wires look excellent along with the wires in the box at the solenid no burning or anything like that there were no strange smells before this started happening either. Oh yeah and believe it or not the first thing i did was clean battery cables. :) Oh yeah and um haven't been brave enough to jack it up and look under afraid of what might be under there.

and ps I'm a newb nice to meet all of you.

Me too!!!

Jack the cars back wheels off the ground, jumper the two large posts on the solenoid and see if the wheels turn. Yes, have the key on and press the accelerator.

If they turn, chances are, you have a bad solenoid.

This is a start........... we may create some interest!!!

One more symptom I noticed is I was leaning on the cart and it moved. I have found that the cart free roles with no beep beep or free wheel braking I guess its called. Is this still a solenoid possibility, or a yep thats for sure its deader than a door nail, order a new noid.

Braking has nothing to do with the solenoid........ go ahead and check it.
