Default 2006 Electric EZGO quit running even though fully charged

New member here! A few months ago we bought our daughter (and us) a 2006 EZGO electric golf car. We bought new batteries at the time. Everything has been fine (with the exception of a rear wheel that came loose twice until I really cranked down on the lug nuts).

Mostly the use of this one is our 14 year old and her friends driving the golf car from nighborhood to neighborhood.

The other day she backed it ut of the garage and then went to pull forward and it quit running. I've checked the obvious connections and made sure it was fully charged. I can hear the solenoid actuating but nothing else happens.

I've been trying to search these forums and read up as much as possible but would like to get it fixed tonight (if possible) if anybody has any ideas.

We moved here not long ago and I'm trying to find my volt meter to check things out further.

Thanks a lot!

It has the lever forward & reverse switch, and I am not seeing a run/tow switch.

I pulled off the controller cover and it is a Curtis, P/N # 25864 G09

where would the run/tow switch be if there is one?

it would have been on the controller cover. If you have a F&R switch mounter on the floor in front of the controller then it is a series cart for sure. Do you have a DVM? Solenoids can click but not work.

No, the cover is just a plain, black, plastic tent shaped cover, no switches. It was a bitch to get off as the bolts were hard to get to on the bottom!

I have a DVM (an old Simpson meter) as soon as I get the connection to the 9v battery re-soldered! I have not used this one in years.

Meter makers have made some incredible advances in the last 15 years.
All the big box stores carry a decent one for about $30

OKay, now we have a DVM
What is the pack voltage read?
Does the solenoid click when you try to go?

Hey rib, like the diagrams but just as a note, I had a PDS once that had the same FNR setup as the DCS. I know they were rare but they did exist. I didn't realize it until I pulled the controller cover.
