Default What to pay for TXT

Hello, I live in Orlando and am looking at buying a 2002 TXT series with good batteries, a new paint job, light kit, rear flip seat, chrome hubcaps, fold down windscreen, and dual fans. I am wondering what you guys think is a good price for it, so I know whether I should look at it or not. Thanks for the help in advance.

How "good" are the good batteries? How old are they? Mine are still good, but 3 yrs. old, replacement is in my near future.

I'd say NO MORE than 2K, if it has brand new batteries. (hubcaps, windshield, fans are of little to no resale value)

Do you have photo?

In Florida you are going to pay more than $2k for a cart like that. Model year 2000 and older are going for $1500 - $2000 with newer batteries, and usually no real modifications.

sorry, I don't have a photo. The cart is nice and the batteries hold a full charge and have little corrosion, but there is no date on them. Is there any price difference depending on where your location is? I've heard you pay more in florida than other places, is this true?

Oh, forgot to mention the hubcaps and rear seat are brand new. Also, I really like the double fans because it gets really hot in the summer here.

I bet there is a date on the batteries. Scratch the flat part of the post and it should have a letter and a numeral . IE: A9, This is Jan. 2009. Depending on the batteries no more than $1500.

I guess they are more expensive in FL. I got a much better deal on my 2008 model. I read here today that FL golf courses do fleet change outs in October. Market might get much better with more carts on the market soon.

Supply and demand don't really run true in Florida.... In the central part of the state, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500-$1000 more than you would pay anywhere outside the state.

As an example, the cart you have mentioned would bring about $2500-$3000 at my shop in Eustis.....

Call the mid Florida golf carts in longwood and deland . Last time I was there they had a fleet of 02 thru 05s for 1800ish. They get a huge turnover from the courses... he'll I bought a perfect txt body from them for 40 bucks... he gave ne a roof panel. Rear roof support with bag mount and basket was twenty bucks.

yeah, and at that price you are going to be looking at buying batteries in the near future.... I know the owners of Mid Florida Golf Carts VERY well and they know the value of the carts they stock. The fleet you were looking at was probably their rental fleet because they change it out every couple of years.... they do get a massive turnover and they are good guys to deal with, but you have to be aware and make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck......
