TXT DOA, help! No power
Guys, I installed some 12v ligts today and everything seemed fine. Buttoning everything and I go to put the cart away and everything is dead. No solenoid click, no back up alarm, nothing. I checked all leads and everything is a it sould be. I don't know where to start. I have a multi meter and checked a couple of things but don't really know where to look. Will be happy to provide pictures if that would help.
Cart is an 01 Series with 400 Logi Controller, upgraded solenoid. Thanks |

Re: TXT DOA, help! No power
Hello, Joe. Does the solenoid click when you try to go? The red/white wire from the back of the charger receptacle should be bringing 36v+ to the F&R micro switches. Check that out. You can unplug right at the receptacle to test if 36v+ is coming out of the receptacle ... if it is getting to the F&R micros check if they are working.... this is a start.

Re: TXT DOA, help! No power
Scotty,
Hope you are well and thank you. The solenoid does not click. Three wires coming from the back of the charging receptacle. Two larger (10 gauge ?) white and black going to battery pack, one small wire (14 -16 gauge) black wire. Tested the small black wire and get no voltage. No voltage at micro switches either. Joe |

Re: TXT DOA, help! No power
I jumped the reed switch and back in business. Scotty will be emailing you to order a new one. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Re: TXT DOA, help! No power
The reed switch only purpose is to keep the cart from operating when the charger is plugged in. Do you really need this feature? If you don't need this feature just ignore the reed switch replacement.

Kix, thanks for the info, Scotty relayed the same feedback on the purpose of the switch and that I would be fine without as long as I remember to unplug the charger before driving. I plan on going with the by-pass oppossed to replacing the reed switch.

I always put my charger cord through the steering wheel just so I can't forget to unplug it!

Re: TXT DOA, help! No power
I don't see how anyone, except a little kid could drive off and not realize the massive handle sticking in the body Joe just ditch the reed switch. None of the new carts have them, it was a high hope idea that I believe lead to more problems than anything. Glad to hear your buggy is goig again!
