Angry 2000 EzGo elec series M- wire at F/R

My M- wire at the F/R switch got extremely hot and discolored the post. I get no power at the key or charge indicator ,only the lights come on. No solenoid click when pedal is depressed. Is my F/R switch bad??? can this cause the "No Power" at the Key/Indicator.......Seriously lost

I'm gonna post the solenoid activation circuit (sequence) below. You will need a voltmeter to trace the circuit and check each place it says you should have power in the order listed. When you find where you stop having power that is the trouble area....

TXT Series solenoid activation
Power starts on the White wire on the 36+ of the battery pack.
Power travels to the charger receptacle, goes through a reed switch inside the receptacle and comes out on the red 12 gauge red wire.
The red wire travels back through the loom to the Forward and reverse switch where it attaches to a micro.
The other side of that micro has a blue wire attached that runs under the cart to the front and arrives at the keyswitch.
The keyswitch then transfers power to a green wire which returns to the area of the Forward and Reverse switch.
the power then goes through a 4 pin Molex connector and travels to the "pedal Box" (located under the floorboard of the car) where it goes through a micro and comes out on another red wire.
That red wire comes back up to the Controller/F&R area where it once again goes through the 4 pin molex connector and continues on to the small post of the solenoid.

You want to set your Digital voltmeter at a range that is higher than the voltage you will be testing. Most meters have 20 then 200VDC range. You can use 20VDC for testing a single 6 and 12v battery .
I use 200VDC for general testing ~ since you are testing 36v.

traced it all the way to molex conn after foot switch . Red wire from foot has no power. Can this cause the batt indicator to not light up? im under the impression the micro at the foot pedal is bad?

That's a fairly common problem. If you have power going out of the key on the green wire and nothing coming up the red wire to the solenoid and then the Molex pin #4 right? Sometimes the molex connectors get loose and intermittent.......

Still jacked...Im thinking it might be the F/R contact at the M- wire???? Still trippin on how this could effect my Charge indicator??? If the solenoid is bad would that not allow the indicator to light up.....Loosing sleep over this! LOL
