Question '91 EZ Go Marathon - Still no power!

I have a 91 Marathon. Had no power when I bought it but it did run. Replaced batteries, potentiometer (velocity control) and controller. With batteries fully charged t still has trouble going up any incline. Is the motor next? Any ideas appreciated.

First the obvious... can you push it easily? .. does it roll easily on flat ground?

Then the pot question, did you inhale, Mr President?

I mean, why did you change the pot and does it match the controller throttle program? You sure? Double sure?

I can't say that I have tried to roll it. If it doesn't roll easily what does that mean?

I just changed the pot (after all I am the President and I can do what I want) without knowing that it had to match the controller program. I know gas engines but nothing about these electric vehicles. How does that work?

Resistance, man. the more resistance there is the harder the motor has to work to achieve anything.
I noticed you skirted the pot question.

It doesn't seem like anything is dragging or that the brakes are hanging up.

(I refuse to answer. "I did not inhale" Bill Clinton)

I just started changing parts. First batteries - no improvement; then a new controller, nothing and last, the potentiometer - still no improvement. It seems fine, if not overly fast, on flat ground.
