My 85 western build (ezgo Chassis)
Hello all I wanted to share my build with you all because I enjoy looking at others so much and I can hopefully get some good advise from you along the way. So here are some pictures of it Please keep in mind I am doing this for under 1000. Dollars total So far cart 350.00, Used a new set of batteries from My old cart. and I will try to post costs as I go. It wont be one of these super awesome carts I see on here but it will be fun.

so here it is the $43.60 lift kit. 35.00 of those dollars went toward custom built u bolts and shipping them.

Im so excited today I installed the voltage converter some distribution block and wired out the whole 12v system. Now I have a sound system,horn and lights ready. Yeah now im on to the stuff I like Paint and Body work!!!!

OK I picked up the tubing bender and my D.O.M. so this week the cage work begins.....

The lift was made with 4x4 square tubing 1/4 inch thick then i welded the square plates on the tubing for lateral stability and the bolts are grade 8 i feel like it is over built compared to the other economy four inch lifts on the market. The leafspring should snap before the blocks go. On the rear i put ladder bars on it tied into the frame to stop axle wrap. I let my kids drive this around so i wont cut corners on safety stuff thus the d.o.m for the cage work. I will post more pics just put on the rims and tires 100.00 find

Noticed that the steering link is not tied in on the right hub. did you have to modify it to fit without binding?

All i did was flip my ball joint on my steering arm onto the top and drill it out a little to fit the taper of the hole
