Default Well I made the biggest idiot mistake tonight, lil help plz.

I was tightening up a loose connection and sure enough I arced the + and - terminals on the controller. I feel like the biggest dumb butt. So I now just click when mashing the pedal, did I fry the controller? I am betting I did, what is the easiest way to test it?

Why did I not disconnect the battery or tape the wrench up, WHY!?!?!

Thx
JB

Sounds like the perfect excuse to upgrade!!!! Sparks and controllers don't play well together. Mine was taken out by a tape measure shorting across the motor terminals.

So really no reason to think it could be the motor cause it would have to have a dead short for a while to get it correct? Yep looks like it is time to upgrade but it is bad timing. Got to pay for my hunting lease this week but it sure will run better there now!

With the cart in gear, key on, one wheel jacked up off the floor.... for safety

Press the gas and hear the solenoid activate, check the voltage at controller B+ and B-. It should be the same as pack voltage. same test with the leads on controller B+ and M-. This voltage reading should start low and rise to full pack voltage when the peddle nears the floor.
This is the controller out put test. No out put? She is toast.

Well I followed the steps you laid out and I was getting good voltage everywhere you said check. I then jiggled the f&r switch and it jumped forward. I played with it for a minute and it all started working correctly. I had checked all the connections on the switch so maybe I got it off cam a bit tightening nuts?? Not sure.
