1997 ezgo dcs No reverse
I have forward but, NO REVERSE. Can anyone help?

This is a scenario which repeats itself in countless homes across America every year ......... DCS cart looses one direction, either forward or reverse = controller failure usually brought on by low voltage operation....

I think your right Scootyb, you usually are right. I heard a pop, and I thought it came from the solonoid resistor that attaches to the big leads on the solenoid. It looks like a computer board.

it had smoke powder all over the inside of the cover that covers to solenoid and controller.

Bad controller so, I ordered a Alltrax controller only 300 amp with a new solenoid and installed it and the controller didn't work. called alltrax and the ran some test with me and decided it was a bad new controller. Got a new one on the way.

yeah 300 amp. It's a old man that has this cart. He installed new Napa 6 volt batteries and the are 75 amp. we installed the new controller I got in and it works. It takes off fast but, is a lot slower than it use to be. Fills like I only have the throttle half way down. tested the volt pack and it reads 39.5 volts. tested it back to the motor and got the same. Called Alltrax and they don't know. What you think it is Scottyb?
