Delta Q charger
I just bought a brand spanking new Delta Q charger for my cart. Had 6 brand new batteries in the cart and for the first time using the charger. I plugged it in to charge and it gave me a fault code. Two flashing red lights which means over or under charged batteries. I checked the acid in the batteries, cleaned all connections on cart and charger. This is a brand new cart and charger now! It never made a charge. I brought it back and the shop tested the charger on another cart and it did the same thing. Then they got a brand new charger again and plugged it in my cart and it worked. They threw the charger in the trash as i was leaving. I asked, yall cant repair them? They said nope, they are none repairable. Kinda gave me the feeling i was buying some crap.

Re: Delta Q charger
go dig that thing out of the dumpster!
i can say without a doubt that they are repairable. maybe not by the golf cart shop, but in the right hands they can be brought back to life. -sj |

Re: Delta Q charger
i take that back actually... the Quiq chargers are serviceable. that doesn't necessarily mean that every unit is repairable. it would take a good lightning strike or internal fire, etc for one to be not worth repairing.
i wouldn't sweat it... Delta Q builds a very nice charger. I personally think their support policy for the "OEM" chargers is crap, but others have had good luck with them. -sj |
