Default Soldering Battery Post

BONEHEAD! Installed new contoller and 2 gauge cables. Missed getting 1 battery post tight. About 1/2 of the post is left and the bolt head sits in fine. Has anyone tried soldering the bolt back to the post?

Not sure about soldering the bolt back to the post, but if you try it, WARNING be careful with the flame the batteries will blow up, here's a fix that works

Thanks, I saw that, just wondering if anyone had tried soldering. It only melted one side so the bolt still holds and does not turn. Did not know if I could get enough solder on it to close the bolt in or not. Though about the flame around the batteries too. Any one else???

Yes, you need some special molds and torches and lead. Like RIB said make sure you remove the caps & void the battery of any hydrogen gas and cover it with a wet cloth with a hole cut for the work area.
Your heat must be very intense and pinpoint... you need the ability to get in, get the job done, and get out.
This is not something anybody should try at home.

Your local battery shop should be able to fix it for you
