Default 48v TXT ?

I have acquired a '99 TXT series cart in need of batteries and controller, etc.
My question is what would be involved in converting this cart to 48v? Has anyone run these motors on 48v? Specifically how does the accelerator assemble work and how does it interact with the controller with respect to a 48v conversion? Thank you. Anyone?

i don,t know all the particulars but you do have to upgrade a few other parts when upping to 48 volt...................and you have to figure out how to charge it although it can be done lots of people have there is some upgrading that goes along with it...............................

I have some 48v chargers so that is not a problem. I do not know how the accelerator system works....Anyone?

I have done some research and what I am asking about is the 'inductive throttle system' (ITS). Any one know how it works and if the unit is voltage sensitive or needs to matched with a controller voltage wise?
thanks again....

Gornoman has done this to his, Z06 Graduates to 48V!.
I think all you need to change is the solenoid to 48v and make sure the controller can handle 48v

The question I had was about the ITS Throttle. Is it unlike a potentiometer and more like a v-glide? And will be fine with any voltage controller? If the answer is yes to the last question .......I think I am good to go?
I found an 48v Alltrax 450amp for ITS.

Thank you for the link!

A guy in extreme Dc forum has confirmed the ITS to work up to at least 72 volts. I'm pretty certain 48 volt will be just fine.

Thank you, roady. I didn't know what kinda system it was? Duh. My first Ezgo
48v is all I need to go with this. I have a nice industrial Lester to go with it. I know Alltrax enjoys a good reputation so I will go with their 450amp (ITS compatable). What kind of performance do you think I should expect from this with the stock series motor?

You'll like the results. Goiung just to 48 volts is a big improvement. Combine that with 450a controller you ought to have great torque. Check to see if the controller you are getting is programmable. That way you can control how fast the amps ramp up.
