TXT to ST Front Cowling
Just wondering...If I replace my TXT front end with an ST front end, is the ST any wider? Will my existing brush guard fit? Anything else I need to think about before doing this? Thanks for any advice.

Remember you will need the headlights, markers, front decal and flairs to make the transition. I have done this several times and it was well worth it to me just because we run a lot at night and the headlights are night and day difference. Not sure of your source for parts but EZ-Go sells this as a kit 750216PKG. They used to sell the same kit without the rear bumper for like $100 less but don't think they have it listed any more. If you just buy the flares, lights and rivets, its about $150 give or take. I personally am looking into the new version of the cowl on the L4 and S4 models.. Very sweet... http://www.ezgo.com/personal/trail-l...expressl4.html |

KGSC, keep us posted on that new style cowl! I've looked for one too, just can't find a "replacement" one yet.

That L4 cowl is badazz. KGSC, keep us posted if that cowl fits a txt cart. Or text me if you find out. That would be cool for my next build.

Re: TXT to ST Front Cowling
I have been told it will fit with no problems.. was a question on the front roof strut but found a photo with the old style roof so that should be good to go.. I have my local EZGo guy checking but he warned me it is gonna be expensive and hasn't even seen the pieces on his parts lists. They just came out, paint to match, all new lights, front cover/bumper and not sure if the ST brush guard will work so maybe new guard. Probably close to a grand..
When I know, I will post.. Maybe if we order in quantity ???? or maybe I can get a tour of the factory and just happen to find one with a "scratch".. |

Re: TXT to ST Front Cowling
Hell, I need three for me !! Was going to try to get just one for now for my daughter's cart re-body. She is tired of the iridescent pink. Now wants a green.... I'm thinking Chevy Synergy Green. So paint the new cowl, the workhorse metal rear body and the wheels to match. Merry Christmas to ?? May give her the camo workhorse....

Re: TXT to ST Front Cowling
When I built my hunting buggy the dealer that offers the Mossy Oak dipped camo bodies gave me the option of TXT front or ST front for the same price. Of course I jumped on the ST front...
Seeing as it is a hunting cart and 99% of the time I'll be using the overhead LED lights, I opted to throw a set of $20 Tractor Supply utility lights in there with some $4 Wal-Mart amber trailer marker lights. The LED lights are ridiculously bright and only pull 15 watts at 1 amp each. So there's really no need to use the "factory" headlights that aren't nearly as bright while pulling more power. |
