Can I weld the rear end to get positive
traction on my TXT or is there a better way to help the one wheel wonder

What year is your cart? There are Limited Slip conversions available for the later years if I remember correctly.

I have a 2004 TXT series cart with a upgraded 500 amp contoller, HD Fand R swithch and heavy 2 Guage cables. The solinoid is heavy also, lifted 4 inches with 22 inch tires

just finished welding mine. works great and i only did it after reading lots fo reviews from others and trying to see long term effects. i welded the spider gears to carrier and it went pretty well one note about what to watch for . make sure before you put the cover back on that you didnt have any spatter get into the other gears. youd be surprised at to how small a piece fo spatter could get onto your top gear and gum up the works causing you to pull the gears out then even after removing said spatter file the teeth on all gears smooth again where a pin head sized spatter piece scarred them all up enough to make a horrible rasping sound lol. ask me how i know.
if id been smart i would have just pulled the carrier and welded it on my bench instead of welding thme in the axle like an idiot. good luck |

plowman's makes a posi set up that will fit yours. it is very transparent and does a graet job.
