alltrax NPX 4834 or con1204?
This is probably a no-brainer, but one of the sponsors lists a reconditioned con1204 controller for about $350, +100 rebate for sending back old core, or I also spotted a new alltrax npx4834 for $300, and maybe I can still sell the old controller somewhere?

yes, you can sell it, but why are you replacing it if it good? if it is bad, then chances of selling are nil.

Re: alltrax NPX 4834 or con1204?
The NPX controllers are strictly for stock golf carts. No modifications, for use on a groomed golf course only. They are now a discontinued model due to people installing them in modified carts and then complaining to the manufacture about failures.
A rebuilt controller would be limited to the same lines of usage in my opinion. |

Re: alltrax NPX 4834 or con1204?
A return to original speeds would be good for me. My 94 marathon runs about 4mph up a 4% grade, and voltage is 38+ to start, 33.4-32.7 after pressing the pedal. Have no plans for major upgrades.
Goal would be getting 7-8mph on the 4% grade on pretty smoth dirt roads. Not sure where to start, motor or controller, but controller sounded good. Back to new "stock" performance would achieve my goals, right? |

You may have one bad battery. tape the meter to each battery and test the voltage drop.

as scotty said, check the batts. that sound more like your problem. have you upgraded your cables? they should be at least 4ga.
