99 EZ GO TXT DCS solenoid question
Got cart out of storage...replaced all 6 batteries with GC-2 from Sam's...Cart does not go??? Did diag. test and shows solenoid bad...was new in May2011.
On line has 36 volt solenoids one 50 amps and one 100 amps...which do I buy? ALSO adding a battery guage on the dash to know battery condition...but it did not come with wiring directions...How do you wire one of these into the key switch? Diagrams or instructions appreciated....... |

Re: 99 EZ GO TXT DCS solenoid question
get the 100 amp solenoid. if you are going to modify your carts system, might even think about 200-400 amp one that has silver contacts. i don't have the diagram for your meter . someone will pipe up and supply one tho i bet.

Re: 99 EZ GO TXT DCS solenoid question
Is this the same cart you were having trouble with in your previous thread?
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ll-not-go.html If so, did you get it fixed and this is a new problem, or is this the same problem? Also, post a picture of the back of meter and we might be able to tell you which wire goes where. |

Re: 99 EZ GO TXT DCS solenoid question
Yes it is the same cart. Was gone for the summer, 110 degrees here in Texas Hill country, now back and bought new batteries (38.5 volts). Controller rebuilt. The gauge has two posts one positive and one negative. front has red area(needs chrg), green area(chrgd), white area(when chrging). I also replaced the 10 pin connector....it had a burned out connecter on it.

Re: 99 EZ GO TXT DCS solenoid question
Glad to hear you got it working, sorry to hear it is again giving you problems.
Meter's negative lead is tied to BL- on the battery pack (or somewhere that is electrically the same point) Meter's Positive lead can be tied the the switched BL+ on the keyswitch. (One terminal is hot all the time and other is only hot when key is in "ON" position) Be sure to break those new batteries in properly so you get them up to their maximum storage capacity. Good luck and be safe, John |

ScottyB's site will have all that info! Just read the" headers " with battery in them. |
