EZ GO 1994 36volt with new style pot

I have a 1994, 36V EZGO with the new style potentiometer. The solenoid clicks but the unit will not go in forward or reverse. Ordered some trouble shooting and wireing guides from texas but they are impossible and do not show the new potentiometer. The unit has not run properly for a year but on some occasions it will run for a while after sitting or charging. I have been an electrical contractor but am at a loss. The control unit has 4 small guage wires going to it (red, orange, white, black) my wiring diagram shows 9. Any one have any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks, Sid in Brush Prairie, Washington

Captain, wish I could give expert advice. Have you tried looking at wiring diagrams posted at top of this forum. They help tremedously. Good Luck.

You have series motor speed controller. The diagram you have is for a DCS cart....whole different system.
