Greetings. I just purchased a used EZ-Go golf cart, model X444-4GE, serial number 244X2750 (I think -- it was pretty hard to read).
Can anyone help me to identify the year this cart was made, and point me to a place I might find a user manual? The EZ-Go website doesn't seem to have a manual for this particular model (probably because it is older). Thank you for any assistance. |

Those numbers don't correlate with EZGo #'s. You must have a different body than factory. I have an old Ezgo with a Western body on it, and I can only guess the year by looking at pics. Mine has no serial #s that I can find. If your looking for parts, tell the vendor which direction motor is to rear axle. That will get you in the right century.

Quick update. Where those numbers off ID of cart or off motor. Noticed it has GE in one and GE supplied most early model motors.

Hmmmm. Thanks for the quick response. I just checked the model and serial numbers -- they're as I originally posted, on a little metal plate bolted to the chassis, inside the battery compartment under the driver's seat (almost directly beneath the driver's left butt cheek). The golf cart uses 6 Trojan T105 batteries, and the F/N/R switch is located on the center front wall of the bench, not far to the right of the driver's right knee.
It came with a 12-hour charger. I can't read much off the motor itself, although there is some kind of serial number there as well. |

Hmmm. Well, it is a four-wheeler now. I wonder if someone rebuilt it ... yet the model/serial number seem to be on a part of the chassis that seem to be integral to the whole four-wheel thing. Very strange. Based on the condition, I would have guessed it to be not older than 93 or 94 ... but who knows how many of the parts have been added/replaced?
Anyway, thank you for your help. |

The serial number you provided returns a 3 wheeled 74 model. A tag under the seat puts it back before 77 or so.
