02 EZGO TXT radio and battery charger guage
Hey guys,
Are there any wiring diagrams that would show me how to install a radio and battery guage on an 02 ezgo, 36v system? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys! |

Re: 02 EZGO TXT radio and battery charger guage
I got kind of lucky with this, but my Pioneer deck shows the voltage of my 12volt batt. that it is hooked up to. I'll just check the display every now and then and I know when to put the trickle charger on it, which I simply plug into a 12v accessory outlet on the cart to charge. Realy simple and clean.

battery gauge is simple to install. there are only three wires. one you run to your main positive battery terminal, where the 36V come from. Run another to your main negative terminal. the third can go to a couple of places, it all depends on when you want to see the gauge. Most of the time you run it to the key switch, that way when ever the key is turned you can see the gauge. Some people just run the third wire to the main positive battery terminal with the other one so they can see the gauge all the time. You could run it off one of your forward reverse swithces. The third wire is an activation wire. As for the stereo most stereos come with a wiring diagram that tells you what wire goes where and for what and if your not the original owner of the stereo you should be able to go to the makers website and find a diagram.

Re: 02 EZGO TXT radio and battery charger guage
Whatever you do, DO NOT GROUND anything to your frame. Only ground from the Negative side of the battery pack. Your radio will require 12 VDC so you will either need a DC-DC converter or use 2 of the 6 volt batteries.
