Heavy Duty Springs or Not
Howdy...About to install Jakes 6" spindle lift and noticed the springs in the rear are shot and thought I would go ahead and replace front also..I'm running 23's and no rear seat, its already pretty rough offroad, will the heavy duty springs make it even rougher? Thinking about just ordering the standard 2 leaf sets. I'm 190 lbs and rarely have any more weight than that. A smooth ride is real high on my list. Any thoughts? Thanks much..

Re: Heavy Duty Springs or Not
since you don't have a rear seat, i would stay away from 4 leaf springs. been there done that and now need to pull a leaf or two since i removed the rear seat. i may go to 3 since my extra batts are in the bag well.

Re: Heavy Duty Springs or Not
I put the 4 leaf HD springs on my CC...........and they were so stiff I couldn't get the cart to bounce at all when jumping up and down in the bagwell! I have since pulled two of the springs out (of each side) and it is much better! If you have rear facing seats............I would think 3 leafs would be about right.

Re: Heavy Duty Springs or Not
So do you think 2 leafs would be sufficient for cruising around the ranch w/ maybe one passenger?

Re: Heavy Duty Springs or Not
I still have the stock springs on mine and even though I have the flip seat, most of the time it just holds a cooler. Its just me and her running the trails.
