There will be a rod coming from the pedal to a little box right by the solenoid. There are 2 wires you need to hook the volt meter to.

No, The two wires coming of of the potentiometer. Place your volt/ohm meter on ohms.

ok so i checked it this morning, and at my foot off the pedal it read .6ohms and full throttle it read 7.12ohms,
so what dose that mean.? |

Means your either not measuring it right or your throttle pot is bad.

well i mesured it right , i used the diagram u sent , so buying a new potentiometer should fix it,?
