Default Battery readings

I posted last night about looking to buy a BLS (battery life saver) because of my batteries dying quick. I full charged the batteries overnight and unplugged them at lunch. They set for about 3 hours to get rid of the surface charge. I disconnected each battery and tested with volt meter. These are the results
Battery 1- 6.21 volts
2- 6.21 volts
3- 6.28 volts
4- 6.24 volts
5- 6.24 volts
6- 6.18 volts
are these results bad??? Just don't know what to do??

Yea they are bad results. When you said you "unplugged" them at lunch, had the charger already shut off prior to you tampering with it or was it still charging? All I can think of to help get the SOC back up a little bit, would be to charge the daylights out of them. By that I mean when the charger kicks off, wait about 10 minutes and put it right back on the charger. I have charged my pack about 5 times in one day, and after the rested unmolested the voltage was a decent amount better than before.

The BLS is a waste of your money. Especially with the condition of your batteries now.

Good luck man!

You don't have to disconnect the batteries. Key switch OFF and F/R in Neutral for series carts, plus Run/Tow switch in Tow on DCS and PDS carts cuts the load down to nothing or almost nothing, and the batteries are in series, so same current flow is flowing through all of them and you are still comparing Apples to Apples.

If you want to completely stop any current flow, only one cable has to be disconnected.

@ Colt, when I unplugged them at lunch yes the charger was already off. They charged all night long. Then I waited about 2 hours and checked each one. These where the results... So by these results I guess I am looking for new batteries?? Will the BLS be a good investment on new batteries?? Thanks angain for your time and answers!!!

I have used a desulfator before but never that model. Yes you are looking at new batteries with those results. IMO. Also as long as you break in the new batteries properly and maintain them very very well you will not need the BLS. IMO.
